A selected cancer treatment project from ALG’s legacy project experience.
Pioneering cancer treatment, Clearview Cancer Institute is a self-contained cancer treatment center constructed in Huntsville, Alabama. KPS Group designed the facility to provide a calming, warm, friendly environment for patients and their families throughout the treatment and healing processes. Patient flow and treatment were emphasized in an environment that stimulates and soothes the senses with gardens, water features and color-coded doctors’ pods.
Serving as the onsite Senior Project Manager for Robins & Morton, I led a team of 6 to complete the 114,000 square foot facility which included Radiation Oncology with Linear Accelerators, PET, MRI Imaging, Chemotherapy with Infusion areas, Physician Pods with Exam Rooms and Nursing areas, Blood Bank, In-house Lab and Pharmacy, a Library, and a Research Facility.
I also managed the self-performed concrete package which included three poured-in-place concrete vaults to house the linear accelerators.
