A selected corporate headquarters project from ALG’s legacy project experience.
As onsite Senior Project Manager for Robins & Morton, I led the construction team on the Intergraph Headquarters 250,000-square foot class A five-story office building project located in Huntsville, Alabama and designed by Cooper Carry. In addition, I managed the self-performed concrete scope of work. This unique concrete structure was over 700 feet long and was constructed with one expansion joint to provide an open collaborative workspace. In order to make this happen, special concrete mixes had to be developed with a very low shrinkage. The team had to test multiple special concrete batches to arrive at the proper mix to allow the construction.
The project includes a Conference Center, a state-of-art Data Center, a Food Service Area and Lakeside Terraces to accommodate a first time merging together of 1,100 North Alabama employees into one facility.
